Kinki no Nitsuke
Kinki is “rockfish” in English and nitsuke means boiled fish (or vegetables) in soy sauce. Winter is the best season for rockfish, and nitsuke is the most popular way to eat it. This picture is from yesterday’s dinner. The kinki is on the right side of the bento box.

Time: 20 minutes
Ingredients
2 kinki steaks 3 slices of ginger
Spices
1/3 cup water
1/3 cup sake
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp mirin
2 tbsp sugar
Preparation
Mix spices in a bowl (water, sake, soy sauce, mirin, sugar)
Add Kinki, mixed spices, and ginger in a sauce pan, then boil for 15 minutes over hight heat. (Flip kinki over halfway through).
