I read your blog and it was very helpful for us to plan our itinerary. We (4 adults) are going to Hokkaido in May for 10 days self drive trip (except Sapporo / Otaru area where we will take public transport) to catch the cherry blossom and below is our itinerary.
Day 1 – Reached New Chitose and head to Lake Toya

Day 2 – Lake Toya

Day 3 – From Lake Toya to Sapporo
Day 4 – Sapporo / Otaru

Day 5 – Sapporo / Otaru

Day 6 – Sapporo / Otaru

Day 7 – From Sapporo to Asahikawa

Day 8 – Asahikawa / Biei

Day 9 – From Asahikawa to Furano

Day 10 – Furano to New Chitose (Back Singapore)
