As I was writing this post, I realized that my love for matcha started around the young age of eight.
I remember my grandma took me to the Japanese tea ceremony – Ochakai (???).  I got to dress up and pretended to be a grown-up “lady”.  I fell in love with the earthy rich taste of matcha that lingered in my mouth and I’ve loved matcha ever since.
