Welcome to Arima Onsen
This hot spring town located conveniently just outside the city of Kobe is a popular destination for Japanese travelers, with weekends and holidays throughout the year crowded with vacationers. Arima Onsen is well known thanks in part to its long history, and its particularly romantic atmosphere and scenery make it an ideal date spot for couples.
Getting to Arima from Kobe is a breeze, requiring only about an hour by train. Popping over after a leisurely lunch in Kobe will leave you plenty of time to stroll about the area around the station in Arima and visit popular sightseeing spots like the statue of Toyotomi Hideyoshi or crossing the Taiko-bashi Bridge for a great view. With cherry blossoms in spring, fireflies in summer, vibrantly colored leaves in autumn, and blankets of snow in winter, the natural scenery is breathtaking all year round.
Like many hot spring towns, Arima is also home to a couple public spas, distinguished as the Gold Spring and Silver Spring, respectively.
