At a charming cafe somewhere in Saga, I picked up a magazine called Liniere. My daughter and I slowly pored over each page and we grew increasingly interested. Back in the USA we located Liniere in our local Kinokuniya Bookstore. There we were able to sign up and pay for a year's subscription to the magazine. Each month Kinokuniya would send us an email when it arrived at the store, and we would go to pick it up before having curry udon in the Mitsuwa Marketplace.

There is a lot to like in Liniere. I suppose it is a lifestyle magazine, a combination of food, travel, DIY, style, health, beauty, and fashion. In addition, every month the magazine comes with a special premium - a purse, tote bag, or wallet produced by Liniere in collaboration with a famous designer. A prize!
In the past I have mentioned some of my favorite stores in Japan, but as I have aged my tastes have changed a bit. Although Liniere does show high-end fashion, it also includes brands I consider affordable. The list includes Samansa Mos2, Lepsim, Self+Service, and Studio Clip. Recently I purchased goods from all these shops in Japan. It was great! And may I remind you, Goods from Japan can help you if you want to buy items from Japan.
