Camp Inn Miyama on the banks of the crystal-clear Choshi River in Mie Prefecture near Owase offers camping, canoeing and BBQ in a lovely, rural setting.
As well as pitching your own tent, Camp Inn Miyama offers a variety of fully-equipped (A/C, TV, microwave), wooden cottages housing up from 5-8 people.
Costs are 15,500 yen per night for an 8 person cottage or 14,500 for a stay of two nights or more. There is even a variety of barbecue sets to cook using the onsite facilities.
As well as canoeing, there is an "Eco stamp rally" and craft-making for the kids as well as fishing in the river.

A taxi from Owase Station would be around 4,000 yen and from Aiga Station about 2,500 yen or an hour's walk. From the Washige bus stop for the start of the hike over Magose-toge Pass, it is about 30 minutes on foot.
